When did you start doing CrossFit?
4 or five years ago
What is your favorite CrossFit movement and why? I really don’t have a favorite they are all tough for me; I would like to thank all the trainers for motivating me to move forward as well as my sister, Karen, Lori and Christine; for never letting me believe that i can’t do it.
What is your least favorite CrossFit movement and why?
Over head squat, I am unable to hold something over my head and squat at the same time, and I hate running!!!!
What is your sport, health or fitness background?
I have been a consistent walker and doing other exercises most of my adult life.
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first WOD… what was it and how did it feel?
Christina gave my sister and I free tickets for a single class. Linda made stations and we did a different exercise at each station. I felt exhausted!!!!!!!!!!! I only went a couple times, I wasn’t sure I would be able to follow through.
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since startingCrossFit? (Before and After)
I have seen a big change in strength and my health is excellent for my demographic. I am proud to say that I am on zero prescribed medication.
Share with us your favorite Canandaigua CrossFit memory/moment? My first workout at the new facility was running outside. I believe it was a 200. I did the first one or two and I was going to stop and not finish, but Kim came to me and walked the last 200 with me so I could finish the workout. Thanks Kim!!!
Do you have any advice for people who are just getting started?
Go for it!!!!!!!!!!
Outside of CrossFit what other hobbies and/or talents do you have?
I love to read to relax.
