What is your philosophy towards being a coach? In your opinion, what makes a good coach?
My philosophy towards being a good coach: I am a coach because of my passion for the sport. I like to create an environment that encourages athletes to reach their goals and to promote a positive attitude.  What makes a good coach is a wide knowledge base with the ability to help athletes achieve. I feel as though being relatable also makes a good coach and puts the personal touch on training.

My three favorite quotes as applies to coaching/training/life are:

  1. “if it was easy, everyone would do it”
  2. “Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it”
  3. “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”

Where did you grow up/Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY

Have you ever played any sports?
Softball, Competitive Cheerleading

What do you do for fun?
In the summer I enjoy boating on the lake with my family and friends. I love the water, sun, and amazing scenery our area has to offer.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a veterinarian or a cheerleader for a professional football team. Instead I ended up in the Insurance field for over 15 years.

If CrossFit didn’t exist, how would you pay the bills?
I have a degree in Marketing and many years of management in the insurance industry.

What I wish I figured out earlier is:
CrossFit! I didn’t start CrossFit until my early thirties. I often wonder how much further I could have taken the sport today if I started CrossFit earlier.

What’s your favorite thing to do outside?
Any type of water activity.
